Don Imus controversy

Okay, I really need to make a post about this.
Recently, the Don Imus controversy has been blown so far out of proportion that I actually cannot believe the mess that is being made about it. As you may or may not know, he called the Rutger women's basketball team, "nappy headed ho's," and wound up losing his sponsors and his job as a Shock Jock.
And, as you also may or may not know, Shock Jocks get paid to SHOCK people, hence their name. But, as usual when any white person does something slightly wrong, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton feel they need to step up and make things worse. Imus had apologized several times, and eventually even apologize to Al (or Jesse, can't remember) personally.
Sure, what Imus said was a bit stupid, but don't we make rap songs chart-topping Number One's with lyrics with MUCH more controversial lyrics and themes than that? Or is it just because Caucasians have some kind of reason to get shit on by the black community for the slightest reason? I'm tired of the racial tension and all the bullshit that's been flying around these past weeks, and I want to see Imus get his job back, either on satellite or MSNBC. He had many charities that will now dry up because he no longer has the means to donate to them, seeing how he is not on the air anymore.
Agree or disagree, but just make sure you post some reasons WHY you agree/disagree, instead of just saying, "Oh, your wrong, blah blah blah" because it's purely stupid.
Good night everyone!
